The restaurants at Temple Square have always been a favorite destination of high school dance groups. For large groups, also consider a banquet in either the Joseph Smith Memorial Building or The Lion House
The Roof Restaurant is happy to accommodate groups of any size. Make your reservation by calling (801)539-1911. Groups between 10 and 16 can inquire about reserving The Library, a room to the north end of the restaurant with one large round table and the same great views that The Roof is famous for. As The Roof buffet is the same cost per person, a convenient pre-pay option is available by purchasing a gift card for the group before the night of the event.
The Garden Restaurant is an affordable way to enjoy fantastic sunsets, great food, and amazing views of Temple Square from the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (view our online menu for dishes and pricing). Groups of any size are welcome with advanced reservation, call (801)539-3170.
The Lion House Pantry and Nauvoo Café have the convenient location and swift service that make them a great destination for stomps, dances, and other dates – no reservations necessary. Christmastime on Temple Square is always a special time, and makes for the perfect date night: have a great dinner, enjoy the lights, see a free concert, have a cup of hot chocolate, and end the evening with a carriage ride – all within two city blocks! Our underground parking is validated with purchase at any of the restaurants, or you can take Trax for easy access.
